One of the most outstanding features of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is its missionary program. This program is based on a model of the New Testament, where missionaries work in pairs, teach the gospel and baptize in the name of Jesus Christ. This service is done selflessly and usually lasts 18 to 24 months.
Today, we can see in almost every place, whether in a big city or a smaller town, a couple of missionaries working diligently.
Thanks to increased missionary applications, last February, the first presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, announced the opening of 58 new missions around the world, including 18 in Mexico.
One of the most anticipated new missions that was announced is CANCUN MEXICO MISSION which is formed by 5 stakes and 2 branches. This new mission will be held in the state of Quintana Roo, thanks to the division of the mission MEXICO MERIDA, will benefit thousands of members and researchers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
